I have always wanted to pair a glossy black gemstone with gold and opal, and I am so happy to be able to share the beautiful pair we have made inspired by this combination :)
The main gemstones are gorgeously cut and polished Edwards Jade from Wyoming. Black jade is essentially very, very dark green jade. This particular variety was wonderful to polish as it has a tight grain pattern :) The opals that are paired with the jade are Australian 5x3 oval crystal opals.
The settings are made of oxidized sterling/fine silver and there are accents of solid gold found in the the 22K gold granulation halo around the opals as well as two 18K gold rings that connect the two settings. The earwires are 14K GF.
Approximate weight per earring: 3.4 g
Approximate length from the top of the earwire to the bottom of the setting: 47mm
