Our Process
Each piece begins with the stone.
We are drawn to gemstones with depth, atmosphere, and quiet luminosity-materials that reveal subtle shifts of tone and natural pattern rather than overt sparkle. Many of our gemstones are cut in our own studio, allowing each composition to be thoughtfully balanced from the very beginning.
From there, every piece is hand fabricated in sterling silver and gold with careful attention to proportion, movement, and wearability. Rather than following trends, we focus on creating jewellery that feels enduring, personal, and quietly distinctive.
We believe that jewellery should feel discovered rather than mass produced.
Rather than sourcing only pre-cut gemstones, cutting many of our gemstones in-house allows us to thoughtfully shape each composition around color, proportion, glow, and natural pattern from the very beginning.
While we tend to gravitate towards softly luminous gemstones which appear to hold light rather than reflect it, we also love incorporating moments of vivid color-balancing brighter gemstones with more understated materials so that color feels intentional, balanced, and quietly expressive rather than overpowering.
Hand fabricated in solid sterling silver and gold, our jewellery is designed with materials chosen for both their beauty and lasting quality.
Each week we are busy cutting sheet and wire, rolling metal, soldering, filing, polishing and setting stones…we love every minute of the creative process!
We love showing people our studio and how we create our jewelry. Please stop by and browse the rough gemstone displays, our jewellery pieces and view our working process in person. We are located in beautiful Lion’s Head, Ontario right on the Bruce Trail and waterfront.
In 2026 we will have open studio weekends on the following days:
August 1-3 and Septemeber 5-7.
We will also be part of the Bruce Peninsula Society of Artists Studio Tour on August 22nd and 23rd.
Please contact us if you would like to make an appointment, outside of our open studio weekends, and visit us at your convenience.
Caring for your silver and gold.
High polish silver can be kept bright and lustrous by cleaning regularily with a polishing cloth. If your jewellery is kept in a clean, dry jewellery box it will reduce the accumulation of tarnish on your peice in between polishing.
Oxidized pieces are wonderful in the sense that you have already embraced the patina. Special storage is not required to keep tarnish at bay. Patina will rub off if you are not careful, it will slowly darken again as time goes by if this does happen.
Pieces that are partially/lightly oxidized can have any excess build-up of patina mitigated by using a silver polishing cloth to gently remove the oxidization that forms over time. We suggest to keep these pieces properly stored to keep the original finish intact.
Gemstone care
We recommend that you only use a clean polishing cloth or a soft toothbrush and mild organic dishsoap to clean your pieces if need be (if they are stored properly the cloth will suffice and be the most safe as we want to avoid any water getting trapped under clear gemstones). Most semi-precious gemstones do not tolerate any ultrasonic or steam cleaning. Please take off your jewellery before bathing, doing any housework/activities in which you could damage gemstones or mar precious metal, using chemicals etc. Some gemstones are sensitive to prolonged sun exposure and can lose the vibrancy of their color and fade. Storage in a dry, clean and dark jewellery box is a safe way to keep the color of your gemstones beautiful.
