Pink Peruvian Opal and Pink Tourmaline Earrings, Sterling Silver and 18K Gold

These earrings began with an exceptional pair of Peruvian pink opals that Les cut with a beautiful shape and dome. Their soft, velvety colour has a quiet presence that immediately drew me in, but finding the right companion stone took a little longer.
I eventually settled on vivid pink tourmalines (I tend to choose pink tourmaline often lol). Their bright, lively colour brings just enough energy to the design, creating a beautiful contrast with the gentle blush of the opals without overwhelming them.

I hand fabricate every setting in fine/sterling silver. The silver has been given a soft satin finish that complements the opals' natural glow, while two small 18k gold connector rings add a subtle warmth between the gemstones. A subtle texture on the very top of the bezel frames the Peruvian opals, lending a delicate pattern that echoes the handcrafted nature of the piece.
Turn the earrings over and you'll find a delicate leaf impression on the back—a small detail that isn't meant to be seen by everyone, but discovered by the person who wears them. I love adding little touches like this. They remind me that the beauty of a handmade piece isn't always only found on the front.
Every pair we make is one of a kind. Nature provides the gemstones, Les reveals their beauty through careful cutting, and I build each setting by hand around the character of the stones.
