Rare gemstone alert!!! You are probably thinking I am referring to the Indonesian opalized wood, and while somewhat rare, the accent 5x3 faceted mint green Kornerupines appear to be much more difficult to find. I fell in love with Kornerupine while researching gemstones with aqua and mint blue...perfect to be paired with the seascape pattern and coloration found in this opalized wood :)
These are such a special pair of earrings...from the gorgeous gemstones, to the 22k gold granulation around the kornerupine setting; the double 18k gold connecting rings and 18k gold accent ball at the bottom of the setting...truly a feast for the eyes :) The main settings are made of a lightly oxidized and satin finished sterling silver. The earwires are made of 14k gold fill.
Such a pretty, ancient inspired pair of earrings :o)
